I watched as SB566 bill apparently died. I didn't realize it was replaced by until that passed the Senate today. On to the House.

The new bill is weird. It'll go along with permanent Standard or Daylight time as long as both CA & WA adopt same in 10 years. Permanent DST would require an act of Congress first, since states aren't allowed to choose it. Excludes Mountain Time portion of Oregon in Malheur County. olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz
