Are there any #transgender folks with ME/CFS people out there? A friend's daughter is a trans-femme with CFS and I'm wondering if there are any special things he (my friend) should be aware of re the intersection of HRT and CFS.
@masukomi my daughter likely has (mild now) ME/CFS. I worried that her symptoms would worsen when she started HRT, but she's doing better than ever now, after a year on estrogen.
It's hard to untangle how much is a chance recovery, or effects of the HRT, or the lifting of depression caused by feeling trapped in the wrong gender, but it's definitely been an improvement. She's even talking about starting college classes full-time in the fall.
