I completely agree with this post. I was seriously considering moving to Capture One, but was concerned about costs. So I went with a year subscription of the Photography 20GB plan at the end of November. If I had known at the time that Adobe was jacking up their price, I probably would have gone with Capture One because I would not be surprised if Adobe's 20GB photography yearly plan goes up as well to pay for AI generative crap.

@ShieldsPhoto I use DarkTable and Gimp. Bit of learning curve to get way from Adobe mentality, but free!
@Dero_10 I have tried DarkTable and was not impressed with the amount of work/time required to get the same results as LR. Granted, I haven't tried the latest version which reportedly has major updates to the GUI.
ON1 is also a cheaper alternative, but for landscape photography I'm always disappointed with its colors and sharpness of JPEG exports.
I used to use only Canon's DPP and got great results for free. But then it turned into a slow POS.
Next on the list to try is DxO PhotoLab.
