I completely agree with this post. I was seriously considering moving to Capture One, but was concerned about costs. So I went with a year subscription of the Photography 20GB plan at the end of November. If I had known at the time that Adobe was jacking up their price, I probably would have gone with Capture One because I would not be surprised if Adobe's 20GB photography yearly plan goes up as well to pay for AI generative crap.

The Phoblographer · Dear Adobe: Give Us A Photography Plan Without AISerious photographers would benefit from AI editing tools by Adobe more than AI generative tools. I don't want to pay more for this

@ShieldsPhoto I use DarkTable and Gimp. Bit of learning curve to get way from Adobe mentality, but free!

@Dero_10 I have tried DarkTable and was not impressed with the amount of work/time required to get the same results as LR. Granted, I haven't tried the latest version which reportedly has major updates to the GUI.

ON1 is also a cheaper alternative, but for landscape photography I'm always disappointed with its colors and sharpness of JPEG exports.

I used to use only Canon's DPP and got great results for free. But then it turned into a slow POS.

Next on the list to try is DxO PhotoLab.
