this afternoon: I finally found the United Airlines Flight 173 memorial, which I knew was in East Portland on Burnside St around 157th Ave. It's too small to find except by a cyclist or pedestrian. Now I know why I didn't spot it when driving by or riding the light rail. The light rail now runs in the median of Burnside but wasn't built until a few years after the DC-8 airliner crashed there in 1978.
