Utah Sen. Mike Lee Says Selling Off Public Lands Will Solve the West’s Housing Crisis. Past Sales Show Otherwise.
—
Last month, Lee introduced a now-removed amendment to Trump’s policy megabill that mandated the sale of up to 3 million acres. It did little to address the challenges of building affordable housing on public land.

@ProPublica
There is zero chance that will do squat, as far as affordability 99% of what would be built are "master planed communities" starting in the $500's
or condo developments near ski areas. Also some new "resort communities" with vacation rental ready houses starting in the $750's. The remaining 1% would be "affordable" until flipped by the first owner
@Asbestos @ProPublica - creatively reimagined, I’m sure the Capitol building would make for many low-income housing units for those in need in Washington.
Goodness knows there’s no need for either House or Senate in current Administration.
